Removal of Existing Ceiling Plaster and Re-plastering : Removal of
the existing ceiling plaster from the ceiling to the required
thickness down to the clear RCC slab. The work includes cutting,
preparation of the surface, and the disposal of debris in bags as
per the relevant waste disposal norms. The work should be carried
out throughout the entire A-Level 2nd Floor , ensuring minimal
disruption to the surrounding areas.
Re-Plastering:-Providing and Applying Plaster (1/2" to 3/4" thick):
Providing and applying plaster on ceiling achieving the required
depth (including base finished), using a 1:4 cement-sand ratio. The
plaster will be mixed with SBR (Fospak, Resichem, Zahabiya, or an
approved equivalent), following the standard ratio of 1 part of
SBR, 1 part of water, and 4 parts of cement (by volume). The
plaster will be applied with a smooth finish and in true line and
plumb. Level marks are mandatory before starting the plaster
work to ensure accuracy. The work will be completed as directed
by the client/engineer.
1a) Surface Preparation: After the removal of the plaster, the
ceiling surface shall be properly prepared before starting the
plaster work. Any visible cracks, if present, on the RCC slab will be
treated with soft seal or an approved equivalent sealing agent
(e.g., Zahabiya, Foaspak, Aquafin, or other approved brands). The
surface will be inspected, cleaned, and prepared to receive the
new plaster as per the engineer's instructions.
1b) Treatment of Exposed Steel Bars: Any steel bars exposed
during the plaster removal process will be treated with an antirusting agent (e.g., Zahabiya, Foaspak, Aquafin, or any approved
equivalent) to prevent corrosion and ensure long-term durability
of the structure.
1c) Protection of Floor and Surrounding Areas: Prior to
commencing the plastering work, the floor and surrounding areas
(such as tiles and fixtures) shall be adequately covered to prevent
any damage from cement-sand mortar. Care must be taken to
avoid splashing or staining of existing finishes.
1d) Cleaning After Work Completion: After the plastering work is
completed, the entire area will be cleaned to remove any dust,
debris, or waste materials. This includes sweeping, mopping, and
disposal of any remaining material as per the client’s satisfaction.
