Water Proofing
Providing and laying of water proofing solution (Aquafin, Zahabiya, BMT, BASF or approved equivalent including removing of old cant
strip where required, providing and laying of new cantstrip approx. 0'-6" to 0'-8" with ratio 1:2:4 with proper finish and use synthetic
fiber in concrete (Recorn, Matrix or approved equivalent) on edge of parapet wall, columns, air vents, platform of over head water
tank and concrete pads and at all floor wall junctions as per site requirements before making of Cantstrip, the surface need to be
treated by tucking and grinding complete in all respect as directed by Client/Engineer.
Warranty period for waterproofing and heat proofing job: 10 Years.
Details of Roof treatment.
* Surface preparation:-
1) Surface needs to be prepared for application of water proofing treatment by removing of all existing waterproofing material ( Clay
tile , Thermopole / styrofoam, Tank Platform ) from roof including grinding the top surface of screeding to make it smooth and
shifting of all debris from site at very early stages.
2) Any cavity/cracks or pipe penetrations or expansion joints found , it must be treated / sealed with approved relevant material
/sealant ( Zahabiya, Aquafin, BMT, Fospak , Mega or approved equivalent).
3) After necessary treatment of all cracks, pipe penetrations & expansion joints on roof, apply waterproof treatement upto 12" over
parapet wall.
* Contractor is responsible to perform water testing after satisfactory completion of water proofing and heat proofing treatment
including cleaning of roof after completion of job.
* Technical data sheet of every item to be submitted along with sample for approval.
* Crack Filler & SBR ( Zahabiya , Aquafin or approved equivalent)

Re-Plastering
Re-plastering of parapet wall.
Providing and applying plaster 1/2" - 3/4" thick plaster on parapet wall achieving the required depth (including base finished), using a
1:4 cement-sand ratio. The plaster shall be mixed with SBR (Fospak, Resichem, Zahabiya, or an approved equivalent), following the
standard ratio of 1 part of SBR, 1 part of water, and 4 parts of cement (by volume). The plaster shall be applied with a smooth finish
and in true line and plumb.
* Surface preparation:-

*Any cracks on the parapet wall shall be treated with a sealant (Zahabiya or approved equivalent) and fixing and providing welded
wire mesh over cracks of approved quality,wherever required.
*Ensure proper preparation of the substrate before plastering.
Plaster Application:-
*Ensure accurate leveling marks are made before starting the plaster work to guarantee a true and even application.
*Achieve a smooth and consistent plaster finish.
*Plaster thickness to range from 1/2" to 3/4" upto required depth.

Paint Work War Memorial Building
The painting work covers the complete surface preparation and application of specified paint systems to all designated internal and
external surfaces, including walls, ceilings, doors, windows, metalwork, and woodwork .
Materials shall be of approved quality and brand (ICI or approved equivalent), free from any defects or contamination.
*All surfaces shall be properly prepared before the application of paint.
*All surfaces shall be cleaned of dust, grease, loose particles, and any existing flaking paint.
*Uneven surfaces shall be leveled using approved wall putty or filler.(ICI or approved equivalent)
*Sanding shall be carried out to ensure smooth and uniform surfaces prior to priming.

*Leftover materials shall be removed, and the site shall be handed over in a clean condition.
*All the visibile cracks to be treated with mesh & soft seal (Zahabiya make) before painting and it is totally a contractor responsiblities.
* All the cracks to be repaired using chicken wire mesh, cutting and finishing the surface, between top floor slab and parapet wall
junction.
*All window jambs (external side) to be repaired and slope to be maintained outwards.
*Scaffolding to be used for external paint and repairs.
The painting work shall be subject to inspection and approval by the school mangement before final acceptance.
Any substandard work shall be rectified at the contractor’s expense.
